I need help this trucks kicking my ass. Have no experience with Mack or Renault

Have a mack MP8(?) with the Mack badged renault engine in the shop with a fan that stays on constantly except when I unplug the a/c high pressure switch. Have replaced ac switch and confirmed correct operation of ac except the fan doesnt cycle as it should.

The engine has been swapped into this truck from a wreck. Cant find the engine serial number in product details on tech tool or on the engine itself.

Will call Mack and verify the serial number of the engine that originally came in the truck and see if I can locate the serial number of the engine currently in the truck later tonightétomorrow

have batt+ at one side of the connector for the fan stat all the time with koer and have ground supplied to the other pin with the pressure switch plugged in.

when I unplug the fan stat I have bias voltage on the terminal for ground and have erified wiring from ecm to fan stat.

These are the codes I pulled with my basic version of Tech tool

MID 128 SID 2 FMI 8
Injector #2 abnormal frequency pulse width or period
inactive
counter-15

MID 128 SID 3 FMI 8
Injector #3 abnormal frequency pulse width or period
inactive
counter-15

MID 128 SID 250 FMI 8
1708/1587 abnormal frequency pulse width or period
inactive
counter 1

MID 128 SID 231 FMI 8
1939 Data Link
inactive
abnormal frequency pulse width or period
counter 1

MID 128 SID 254 FMI 8
ALL vecu communication lost engine shut down
abnormal frequency pulse width or period
counter 1

MID 128 SID 4 FMI 8
Injector 4 abnormal frequency pulse width or period
inactive
counter 15

MID 136 SID 2 FMI 5
Brake ecu
Active

I am still looking for correct wiring diagrams and a full version of tech tool but if anyb ody can gie me some ideas on where to go next that would be awesome

what type fan clutch is it?
is that the original ecm that came off the truck or did it come with the engine?

Apparently it's the wiring harness and ecm from the original engine and they just swapped the long block.

This is going to be a nightmare.

It's just a generic air applied spring release style Horton with the common old school fan stat solenoid with two wires coming off of it and air in/out/purge

Since I have Batt+ and bias voltage at the other pin at the fan stat when it's connected I think the wiring to the ecm should be good.

Find your fan on wire at the ecm
I have cut them and check if it still has power

This one has power all the time and its the ground that gets switched on.

Wiring is good to the ecm.

In this case I put extra sensor 205/190f run wire, relay, extra wire to ac pressure switch to start fan with, fuse and manual switch in case.I know is kind of dummie fix,but much easer then spend lot of time and money to figured out. After couple visit in dealer to reprogram engine fan temp on cascadia I put this stuff with air sol and so far run ok.

This is the absolute last resort.

It's on a million dollar specially outfitted vicational truck so it probably needs to be done right.

Thats pretty close to the way it was done from the dealer, but the harness wiring being messed up you can either replace the sensor harness or run the wires like he said

I had to do a dt466 the same way the injector driver wasn't getting power when the key was in the start position .... pain in the a$$ but its been working with no problems for 3 years now

Borrowing a test ecm on Monday and will see what happens.

This truck has a ton of weird electrical gremlins going on.

I'm glad I don't see many of these newer macks coming in. Definitely not a fan.
